TE Connectivity’s LUMAWISE power input terminal block (TB) offers a unique, highly engineered wire termination alternative to traditional terminal blocks utilized in LED outdoor lighting luminaires and high-intensity discharge (HID) luminaires that include high-pressure sodium (HPS) and metal halide lamps (MHL) which are rapidly transitioning to LED luminaires. TE’s innovative design replaces power entry aluminum lug screw connections with rising vice clamp screw connections. It also replaces signal output wire FASTON tab and receptacle wire connections with lever-actuated spring cage clamp wire connections. LUMAWISE TB provides three power input connections and multi-position signal connections inside LED roadway, street, and area luminaires. The terminal block rising vice clamp screw design accepts 6 AWG to 14 AWG solid and stranded copper input wires. The lever-actuated poke-in wire spring clamp design accepts 12 AWG to 18 AWG solid and stranded copper output wires. LUMAWISE TB is designed with 2-sided mounting hole slots to facilitate a drop-in replacement of legacy terminal blocks.
