The maximum clamping voltage of XMC7K24CA series SMC packaging devices is as low as 24 V, 10/1000 μ Under s conditions, the peak pulse current (Ipm) can reach up to 180 A, equivalent to a conventional TVS rated power of 7 kW. The maximum clamping voltage of XLD5A24CA and XLD8A24CA series DO 218AB packaged devices is 26 V, 10/10 000 μ Under s conditions, the Ipm is 120 A and 180 A, which are equivalent to the conventional TVS rated power of 4.6 kW and 7 kW, respectively.
The recently released Vishay General Semiconductor TVS is certified by AEC-Q101 and can provide a very stable breakdown voltage range of 26.7 V to 29.5 V throughout the entire operating temperature range, suitable for various high reliability applications. This series of TVS devices can protect sensitive electronic devices from voltage transient damage caused by induced load switching and lighting. Typical applications include automotive load shedding protection, industrial robotic arms, and communication system signal line protection.
For applications with reverse operating voltages greater than 24 V, such as the 48 V belt starter generator (BSG) and integrated starter generator (ISG) for light hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), the XLD5A24CA, XLD8A24CA, and XMC7K24CA series devices can be connected in series with standard TVS. The device complies with RoHS standards, is halogen-free, and meets J-STD-020 Humidity Sensitivity (MSL) level 1, with a maximum LF peak of 245 C.
